Empowering Utah's Youth & Collegiate Mountain Bikers
Grove Athlete Development reduces the financial barriers that keep talented young riders off the trail — through direct athlete scholarships, structured team development programming, and a path toward self-sustaining sponsorship.
Award Funding Tiers
Each season, athletes may receive one award based on a holistic review of commitment, competitive trajectory, and documented cost of participation.
For athletes starting their competitive journey with a developing race and training schedule.
For athletes with a stronger competitive trajectory and a more demanding race and coaching schedule.
For exceptional potential and commitment, where cumulative season costs are substantial.
Two Ways We Support Athletes
Grove Athlete Development serves Utah's mountain bike community through individual athlete awards and structured team programming — both aimed at making the sport more accessible and sustainable.
-
01
Individual Athlete Scholarships
Direct financial awards that offset race fees, travel, equipment, and coaching costs for eligible K–12 and collegiate riders.
-
02
Team Development Programs
Training camps, skills clinics, and educational programming organized in partnership with local NICA-affiliated teams.
Built for Long-Term Self-Sufficiency
Beyond direct awards, GAD encourages athletes to pursue their own sponsorship relationships with local businesses and community supporters — using GAD's status as a 501(c)(3) as a tax-deductible giving vehicle. Verified sponsorship strengthens an athlete's application and can influence award tier placement.
Every dollar counts twice
A supporter's donation to GAD can be tax-deductible, while the athlete builds real-world experience securing their own support — a skill that carries into every future season.
